Feasts and Fasts in August:

July 25th - August 1st - The Octave (eight day feast) of “Lammas” commemorating the Birth of John the Harbinger (John the Baptist) and ending with the Circumcision of John on the eighth day - as recorded in the AG as occurring 5 months before the Birth of Our Lord Jesus the Christ. This feast should be observed by services held during this time or personal meditations and will be the context of this month’s Message. AG II Beth 2; KJV St. Luke 1: 5-25; 1: 57-80

August 6th - The Feast of the Transfiguration - traditional date observed in Christianity, although no precise date is given in the Holy Bible or the AG. This feast commemorates the Manifestation of the Ascended Masters Moses and Elijah (John the Harbinger) on either side of Lord Jesus as he was Transfigured before the Apostles John the Beloved, James the Great and Peter, the Inner Circle of Apostles. August 15th - The Feast of the Ascension of Mary, the mother of Jesus - traditionally known as the Feast of the Assumption. Accepted as actually occurring, although not mentioned in the Holy Bible or the AG, yet Mother Mary has always been considered an Ascended Lady Master. Lutherans and Episcopalians celebrate this date as the “Feast of the Blessed Virgin Mary,” while not asserting her Assumption into Heaven.

August 29th - The Fast of the Decollation (Beheading) of John the Harbinger - traditional date observed in Christianity although no precise date is given in the Holy Bible or the AG. The AG teaches that the Christines did not keep this fast. Remembering the martyrdom as a time of reflection on the Mission and Message of the Ascended Master Elijah is an act of piety. Cancer (August) whose symbol is the Unicorn:

The Cherubim of Cancer is Rahdar an Aspect of the Elohim Cyclopea, the All Seeing Eye of God.
He should be addressed as the Cosmic Being Cyclopea.
The Seraphim of Cancer is Phaquil (Phakiel) an Aspect of Virginia, the feminine component of the Elohim Cyclopea. She should be addressed as the Cosmic Being Virginia.
Virtues through invocation of the Cosmic Beings Cyclopea (Rahdar) and Virginia (Phaquil) are Concentration and Consecration.

Invocation:
O Mighty Cosmic Being Cyclopea,
With thy Eye All Seeing,
Develop in us greater concentration,
And consecrate our very Being.

The Message:
Lammas commemorating the birth of John the Harbinger (the Baptist) is recorded in the AG as occurring 5 months before the birth of Lord Jesus the Christ. Lammas is an ancient feast that occurs during the rising of the star Sirius. Sirius was associated in ancient Egypt with Isis and the rising of Sirius marked the annual flooding of the Nile. This annual flooding of the Nile represents Resurrection and Newness of Life. Similarly, John the Harbinger learned the teachings regarding the Rite of Water Baptism as representing the purifying of the soul to newness of Life. Baptism by Immersion in Water represents death, burial and Resurrection to a New Life and being Born Again. AG XV Samech 75; KJV St. Mark 1: 1-11; St. Luke 3: 2-22

Isis * The Star Sirius * Baptism of Jesus

John’s teacher was Matheno, the Hierarch of the Temple of Sakara in Egypt. Matheno is known esoterically as Serapis which is synonymous with the name Osiris. In earlier embodiments he was Manetho, the Egyptian priest of Serapis and Akhenaton the first recorded Monotheist and Pharaoh of Egypt. Matheno instructed John how to lead the Church of Purity which was the preparation stage for the Church of Purity and Love, the Christine Church.

Serapis Matheno was prior to earthly embodiment a Cherubim, the Cherubim of Libra; the Seraphim of Libra is known as Liberty in the AG and was known anciently as Isis, Ceres, and Freya (meaning ‘free’). Liberty with torch raised high represents the search of Ceres for her daughter in the realm of the departed spirits to free (liberate) her and bring her to Light and Life; this is similar symbolically to Isis resurrecting Osiris (Serapis). Some believe that Liberty embodied on earth and then Ascended. Angels, Cherubim and Seraphim are known to embody as humans or as the semblance of humans. This is why they are sometimes referred to as a “Man of God.” AG IV Daleth 13-15

John was selected prior to embodiment to be the Manifest of Purity, one of the Seven Elohim, a Divine Spirit. This is similar to the way Jesus manifested Christ. As the Manifest of Purity he had achieved the ability to perfectly be the example of Purity in Life and be the example for the Church of Purity. AG IV Daleth 13-15; KJV St. Luke 7: 20-35 (note in verse 35 referring to the Mother God: ‘Wisdom is justified of all Her children.’)
John was King David in a past embodiment and returned to the Cave of David called Engedi where he lived and studied with Matheno, who was called the Hermit of Engedi. John as King David was the Harbinger for his son King Solomon; as Elijah he was the Harbinger for his son and prophet Elisha. Jesus was previously embodied as King Solomon and Elisha. This illustrates the interconnectedness of the personages of the Ascended Master Elijah and Lord Jesus the Christ. AG III Gimel 7; 8: 23; XIII Mem 61-64; KJV St. Luke 18: 35-43

Prayer:

Beloved Lord Jesus the Christ, raise me in consciousness to become aware of impurities known and unknown in my life and world.
Beloved Ascended Master Elijah, help me to follow thy example of Purity in Life.
Beloved Ascended Masters Jesus the Christ and Elijah, lead me to the Victory of the Transfiguration of my body and soul.
Beloved Ascended Master Serapis Matheno, activate the Resurrection and Ascension processes within my body and soul and help me achieve At-One-ness with God, my Mighty I AM Spirit.

O Mighty I AM Spirit bright
Immerse me in thy Perfect Light.
